ASHI SOuth Quarterly Meeting
August 19, 2023 @ 8:30 am – 1:30 pm
ASHISouth’s summer quarterly Cont. Ed. meeting be August 19, 2023, / Saturday
at: * North Shelby Library ; 5521 Cahaba Valley Rd.; Birm., AL * at 8: 30 a.m. / start time. We will be meeting in the Library’s, downstairs main room.
1. At 8:50 a.m. we will begin our C. Ed, with a topic that is very critical :
Mold Specialist Mr Steve Scates, will teach what inspectors need to address

concerning mold / fungus issues. This will be about a 2 hour course.
ASHISouth has never had a speaker teach Cont. Ed. on the subject of mold.
You won’t want to miss this critical topic / speaker.

BTW: I was humbled and amazed when many of you stepped up and pledged to “donate” ONE home inspection
(as Harvy T. put it) to help remedy the June and July $hortfall AHIO experienced. April’s Battle trying to pass our bill / HB118 was expensive. AHIO Ex Dir . Jerry Kelly may have more to say about that at the meeting.

6. First time visitors /inspectors, attend free . IF you are a new home inspector in training,,
not yet licensed, you won’t have to pay either, up to 3 meetings – Free.
IF you are not an ASHISouth member there will be a $40.00 / per meeting fee for the food and 4 hours of C.E.
